  • Tinsdills celebrate charity award

Tinsdills Solicitors is celebrating winning a charity fundraising award – and has pledged to double its donation over the next 12 months.
The firm’s achievements were recognised last night (Thursday) at the Douglas Macmillan Hospice’s corporate awards ceremony, where they scooped a bronze award after raising over £5,000 last year.
Staff at the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire-based personal and business legal services firm took part in a wide range of events – including a branch-to-branch relay, which saw administration staff, solicitors and Directors don fitness gear to run between each of the company’s Hanley, Newcastle, Leek and Sandbach offices. They also took part in fundraisers including bring a pound to work day and a mini moonlight walk.
Earlier this year Tinsdills announced that the Douglas Macmillan Hospice, which provides specialist care for those affected by life limiting illnesses, will be their corporate charity again for the next 12 months. Now staff are already setting their sights on doubling their fundraising target.
Marketing Manager Rebecca Gwynn said “We are very proud to have achieved the bronze award. Staff really got behind the decision to support Dougie Mac last year and worked incredibly hard to raise a wonderful total.
“But this year we really want to hit the ground running and so have pledged to raise £10,000 for the charity by the end of the year.
“It will take a lot of hard work but we have some ideas in the pipeline that will help us to reach our target.”
