Tinsdills Solicitors has been awarded with the Cyber Essentials Plus Accreditation. Last week Tinsdills Solicitors had its workstations put to the test in order to achieve the accreditation.
Cyber essentials is an accreditation scheme set up by the Government to ‘kitemark’ businesses who have taken the necessary steps to protect themselves against cyber attacks.
The testing process includes a questionnaire relating to ‘security controls and configuration of an organisation’s computing resources.’ However the Cyber Essentials Plus Accreditation is a more rigorous assessment where an external certifying body tests the organisations systems and as a result provides a greater security assurance.
Tim Cogan, Director says, ‘We have been assessed as meeting the higher standard of Cyber Essentials Plus which means our systems have been rigorously tested to ensure we meet the standard not only on paper but also in practise’
‘Cyber security is one of the biggest risk factors facing not only our business but also the clients that we act for on a daily basis and achieving this accreditation can only help to give our clients confidence that we will protect their confidential matters.’
